I was always very skeptical about working with a personal coach/trainer, but this was based on my previous experiences  With Smash-It, it was a very different and refreshing approach, the coach takes a genuine interest in your progress and well-being, and the program is not a static one, but rather a dynamic program that’s been adjusted every week based on the progress you’ve made (or haven’t) and changes to any of your training variables.

We’re together on this journey. Learning things, blowing each other’s minds, drinking from each other’s wisdom and foolishness.

I have become so used to the behavioural changes we worked on. The journey was not always perfect. The exercise was hard being 16kg’s heavier back when I started.  But the motivation came when I fulfilled the promises I made to myself.  So much so that I am now a morning person and exercise three times per week.

I have a genuine understanding with my coach. He listens to the actual issue and also helps me tweak areas that are not moving in the direction of the set goal. He also gives me access to information which, I have never had before and also insight to exercise and nutrition that is helping me achieve my goals.

Improving my sleep with 2 young kids was a major challenge, it’s still not perfect but within a couple of months the girls are sleeping better which means I am. I love that I can reward myself for good behaviour on weekly.

I know how to adjust my nutrition once I have picked up weight after my reward cycles. This means I can still live the life I want and achieve results every week.

It was honestly so comforting knowing that I had a coach who was genuinely concerned about my individual needs and goals. Who took the time and effort to help me find habits that would best suit my needs and wants but also habits that I would be able to sustain long-term.
